AdaKerja, an online blue-collar jobs marketplace in Indonesia, announced a US$1 million fundraise from Singapore-based VC firm Beenext.
This brings its total funding raised to date to US$1.4 million, with the remaining capital coming from its previous round involving notable angels, including the heads of LinkedIn, DBS, ICAP and Tolaram Group.
The fresh capital will be used to further develop AdaKerja’s technology and product offerings.
This round marks Beenext’s second investment deal with an Indonesian startup within a span of just two days. On Wednesday, the VC firm led the “seven-digit investment” pre-Series A round of B2B logistics startup Andalin.
Launched in 2019, AdaKerja connects blue-collar workers with micro small medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the archipelago. The startup claims to offer easy-to-use chat and mobile products, which help workers and businesses transact in a “fast, simple and trusted way”.
Since its launch, AdaKerja claims to have grown to over 600,000 complete jobseeker profiles
