Indian edutech startup Teachmint announced that it has raised US$3.5 million in seed funding round from Lightspeed India along with existing investors Better Capital and Titan Capital. This is the second round of funding for Teachmint in just two months since raising its first round in August earlier this year.
The startup plans to use the funding to build out its product suite, introducing additional offerings and increasing geographic reach to more tutors.
The startup builds a mobile-first, video-first platform that enables tutors to seamlessly digitise their tutoring business through the ease of content delivery, student engagement, and business workflow tools. Five months since its launch, Teachmint said that it has onboarded more than 120,000 tutors and is being used across 1,000 cities and towns in India.
It is founded by Mihir Gupta, Payoj Jain, Divyansh Bordia and Anshuman Kumar.
